William Allen High School – Allentown, PA
Don (teacher): I am a Physics teacher and Coordinator of the
Pre-Engineering and Applied Science Academy at William Allen High School
in Allentown, PA. I’ve taught Physics for nine years now, and am looking
forward to participating in the Athena program. I’ve been interested in
aviation all my life, and have enjoyed many hours aloft in a Cessna 172
and J-3 Cub over the last five years or so. I’m currently building a hot
rod out of the rusted remains of a 1948 Chevy Panel truck, and look
forward to its completion so that I may begin construction of an
experimental aircraft.
Josh (student): Hi, my name is Josh Harmony. I’m 17 years old and from
Allentown Pennsylvania. Even though Allentown is pretty boring, I seem
to fill this void by partaking in a decent amount of activities. As of
now, I run William Allen High School’s school store, I am running for
Student Government Association Treasurer, I’m on the design team for the
William Allen Construction Co., I applied for NHS, and this summer I
will be attending Governor’s School for Information Technology. Overall
I try to keep myself occupied by participating in enjoyable activities
and I hope to get to know everyone involved with the ASIP.
CJ (student): My name is Christian, my friends and family call me CJ for
short. I’m into all sorts of weird music, and spend most of my time
swimming or re-designing my website (http://localx5.theblivit.net).
Computers are a huge hobby of mine, and I keep a “computer graveyard” in
my basement. As far as school goes, I’m involved with the Construction
Company as an IT director, and lead the Student Government committee on
technology. Over the summers, I’m usually in the great outdoors, but
I’ll be at the Governors School at Drexel University this summer. I’m
looking forward to ASIP, and I’m interested in whatever NASA has to
offer J.
